CANDLE CARE -
When lighting a soy candle for the first time, allow the wax to melt all the way to the sides of the container. Depending on the container size, this should take around 1-3 hours.

  1. Failure to do this will often cause "tunneling" which will limit the life of your new soy candle.

  2. Aim to trim your wick to about 1/4"/6-8mm before you re-light your candle. This will ensure a long lasting candle, minimize soot and remove any mushrooming of carbon on the end of the wick.

  3. Extinguish your candle by dipping the wick into the melted wax and straighten. This will stop the wick smoking and will help with re-lighting the next time. Please remember the candles are hand poured, not massed produced- and although every effort is made to ensure consistency, every candle will be a little different. When using completely natural soy wax, sometimes you may notice darker patches or "wet" spots in your container candles. This is not a fault, simply a small blemish where the wax has not adhered to the glass 100%. The top of your candle may also appear slightly uneven, this is also a sign of natural soy wax being hand poured.

  4. If your candle glass starts to blacken with use, remember to keep the wick trimmed. Also always wait until after the candle is extinguished and cooled before removing the black marks with a dry paper towel.

  5. In order to maximise fragrance scent throw in a room, keep doors and windows closed and burn for 30 minutes. Opening windows and doors will help the scent to disperse.

  6. Keep away from children, pets & materail items as this is a open flame.

  7. When candle is close to its ened, its time to say good bye, you can heat the cylinder with hot boiling water to retrieve any crystals, by scooping out with a spoon, but as a WARNING do not burn candle past 1 cm to base as this glass container can explode, from heat build up.

  8. If you accidentally spill candle wax, ensure that you let it harden so it can be easily removed in pieces. Cover it with paper towels, newspaper or similar spare material you have lying around and gently press with an iron on low heat. The spilt wax should melt and absorb into the paper.
